About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI Engineer for a 6-month freelance contract based in Paris, France. The role offers a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility between remote and office work. As an AI Engineer, you will work on exciting, cutting-edge projects involving machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence to develop innovative solutions that drive our business forward.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers, to build and optimize AI-driven products and services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AI engineer to contribute to impactful projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement AI and machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex problems.
• Work closely with data scientists and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions into production systems.
• Build scalable, efficient, and high-performance AI models and pipelines.
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest AI advancements, incorporating new techniques and tools into existing projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define AI project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Optimize and fine-tune AI models for production environments, ensuring they meet performance and scalability requirements.
• Perform data analysis and feature engineering to improve model accuracy and efficiency.
• Contribute to the documentation of AI solutions, processes, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or in a similar role, with a focus on AI and ML models.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, deep learning techniques, and AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, etc.).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java, with a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in deploying AI models to production environments.
• Familiarity with data processing and ETL pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of statistics, probability, and linear algebra is essential for building and optimizing AI models.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent communication skills in English (French is a plus but not required).

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with NLP (Natural Language Processing) or computer vision.
• Familiarity with reinforcement learning or generative models.
• Previous experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Strong interest in AI ethics and responsible AI practices.
